First, it’s so great to have you here! Second, let me grab my coffee, I love a hot cup of coffee!

I live in Minnesota: I am a small-town girl, born and raised west of the cities. I have been with my amazing husband for over 18 years, married for 10. We are high school sweethearts. We are blessed with two handsome boys. Shout out to all boy mamas, they keep me on my toes, literally! We also have a dog, she is the best 70lb snuggler, we all adore her.  As a family we love enjoying our boat on a hot summer day. Fishing, swimming and cruising is our jam. We also love just to curl up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and watch a movie. Family, friends and the good man upstairs fill our hearts world. We love to spend time with all, whether it’s Friday night shenanigans or at the family cabin, family game nights or church on Sundays.

They all mean everything to us.

I kind of feel like I have the best of both worlds, currently, but let me rewind a few years back. I was working full time as an administrative assistant at a financial corporation for 2 years and maintaining my client base as a hairstylist a few nights a week, all while being six months pregnant. I was exhausted to say the least.  I feel like a lot of us can relate, my dream has always been to be a stay-at-home mom. But yet have a career and something I was proud of. I had my first son, and learned very quickly that I couldn’t work full time and be present in my home life and work life. So, I decided to quit my full-time admin job and continue working part time as a hairstylist. Now if you know anyone as a stylist, we aren't afraid of working long hours.

Now fast forward six years, I own my own hairstylist business as a booth renter, and I get to stay home with my boys. I feel so blessed and haven’t looked back in time. They really do grow fast... My first son is in elementary school and my second is not far behind. I don’t have any plans on closing the chapter as a hairstylist, but I am a planner for what’s next. Can you relate? Kids are all in school, what are you going to do with all that free time? I still want to have control over time, freedom and flexibility as a working mom.

So that leads us here, now into the present. I am the proud owner of Blooming VA.

A huge part of both of my jobs are time and office management, coordinating schedules, workflow operations staying organized and client relations. I have a passion to listen, build and connect with others. As a stylist I always say, “Everyone has a story”. Now as a virtual assistant I am eager to connect with other businesses or entrepreneurs and hear about their story. How they came about as a business and how I can help them. I am excited to use my knowledge of my past and create new for the future.
